  1. VICE PRINCIPAL

Position Overview

As Vice Principal, you will play a crucial role in assisting the Principal with the overall management, administration, and academic and disciplinary issues of the College. Your responsibilities will align with the Colleges of Education Act 2012 (Act 847) and other regulatory provisions, under the guidance of the College’s Governing Council.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the overall management and administration of the College.
  • Perform functions as assigned by the Principal.
  • Act in the absence of the Principal.

Qualifications

  • Exemplary character and high degree of personal integrity.
  • Distinguished master teacher and scholar in Teaching and Learning.
  • At least a Principal Tutor in the College of Education.
  • Research Master’s degree (PhD in a relevant area is an advantage).
  • Minimum of five (5) years relevant post-qualification experience in a senior management position.
  • In-depth knowledge of challenges facing Colleges of Education in Ghana and readiness to propose solutions.
  • Able to complete at least one three-year term before the mandatory retirement age of 60.
  1. COLLEGE LIBRARIAN

Position Overview

The College Librarian is responsible for the library, research, and information needs of the College community. You will provide leadership to advance the College’s teaching and mission through strategic planning and the integration of emerging technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the professional and administrative head of the College Library.
  • Develop and implement the College Library strategic plan.
  • Establish and maintain efficient library operation procedures, policies, and systems.
  • Plan, organize, coordinate, and evaluate library personnel activities.
  • Collaborate with relevant institutional libraries and organizations to attract grants and adopt international best practices.
  • Be an active member of the Academic Board.

Qualifications

  • Research Master’s Degree in Library Studies or related fields.
  • At least four (4) years of service as Deputy Librarian in a College of Education or similar institution.
  • Proficiency in library records management software.
  • Analytical, critical, and research-oriented mindset.
  • Good character, leadership skills, and professional integrity.
  • Able to complete at least one four-year term before the mandatory retirement age of 60.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Applicant must hold a good first degree, Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree in the relevant subject area and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD). 
  • Teaching experience in a College of Education and/or analogous institution.
  • Be a distinguished teacher and scholar in teaching and learning in his/her subject area of specialization.
  • Have good character and high degree of personal integrity
  • Relevant professional qualifications and industrial experience will be an added advantage.

NON -TEACHING AREAS

  1. Assistant Secretaries (Human Resource and General Administration)

Qualifications

  • Applicants must hold a good first degree and a postgraduate degree or equivalent professional qualification plus a minimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience in administration.

2. Principal Procurement Assistant

Qualifications:

  • Applicant must have a relevant First Degree or relevant professional qualification awarded by a recognised institution. Candidate must have served as a Senior Procurement Assistant in a College of Education or comparable grade in a similar institution or organisation for at least four (4) years. Must be computer literate and conversant with the relevant software.

3. Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Assistant

Qualification:

  • Applicant must hold a Bachelor of Science in Information and Communication Technology (ICT) or HND in Information Technology (IT) / Information and Communication Technology (ICT) with four (4) years relevant experience.
